FOR US BY US: Skin Care Products for Women of Colour

We all know that the international beauty industry does not cater to nor consider melaninated individuals. The ways in which products are produced, marketed and packaged often exclude women of color. Distinguished Diva has created a list of products that are created specifically for women of color by women of color. Caring for yourself can come in many forms, and what you put on your skin and is just as important as what you put in it.

Hi Wildflower Botanica

Locally and organically sourced on the English coastline, The Afro Hair and Skin Co. provides skin and hair products that cater to those with melanin and buoyancy.  Ibi Meier-Oruitemeka combines hazelnut oil, frankincense, and Blackcurrant seed oil to leave your skin aromatic and moisturized throughout the day.

The flower steam looks amazing! I love reviewing green beauty products, especially made by small women-owned businesses. You introduced me to a couple of new brands.

It’s great to see that so many people have worked to fill this void in the beauty industry. Women of color are so often left behind. Job well done!
